NRSV: The New Revised Standard Version of the Bible
NRSV: The Bible for Everyone. Many of us pay scant attention to the Bible translation we use, and yet we all want the most accurate and readable translation available for our study and devotional use. That Bible translation is the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV). Widely recognized by scholars and religious authorities as the most accurate translation, it is also the direct successor of the beloved King James Bible, following in that Bible’s tradition of elegant, readable prose.

Months ago--last summer, in fact--I was told that an update to TNIV.com was forthcoming, that it was a project in progress at Zondervan. What happened? In the meantime, Harper Bibles, part of the same company that also owns Zondervan, has just launched a brand new site devoted to the NRSV . They'... Read article

Tuesday, December 23, 2008 Back in 2003 I picked up a copy of the newly minted English Standard Version ( ESV ) classic reference Bible. And I admit that I was skeptical at first.
